Our Fall Menu is now launched, and is perfect for the cooling temperatures. One of our newest menu items, Alexander's Journey, takes us from India, to the Middle East, and then to Northern Africa, where Alexander the Great traveled and, in my own imagination, tasted some similar fare during his quests. Another item contains a sage-basil alfredo sauce that makes me wonder why anyone ever needed butter, flour, and milk in the first place.
Launching a food truck is not just a full-time job. It's an all-the-time job. I arrive around 10 a.m. and work until 8 p.m. Then I go home, work a bit on the computer, and get some sleep until it starts all over. Prepping our food is never-ending, as everything gets made from scratch and we have little storage room in this truck. Some items take up to 4 hours to make, and while time-consuming, I know we're bringing something to the table that no one, anywhere in the State of Arkansas, is. Moe and Chad have been creating one-of-a-kind desserts that continually blow my palate. It feels like we're on a mission to show people that not only can you heal yourself with good quality cold-pressed juices, blenders, and raw food; but it can taste so good that you can't believe you've never had this type of food before. Eat more of it, and so many unhealthy foods lose all appeal.
This literally is my favorite job ever. I make next to nothing. I work endless hours. I struggle daily to pay the bills. I watch as people turn their noses up at plant-based foods. But then, someone comes along, excited to try our cuisine, grateful that we've opened, and it makes all the effort worthwhile.
Until next time, Eat Raw, Live Long!
